Nandi Awards for the year 2008 Announced - Gamyam Bags Best Film Award

The state governments on Saturday (24 October, 2009) announced Nandi Awards for the year 2008. “Gamyam,” directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi bagged the best film award, while “Vinayakudu” and “Parugu” won the second and the third best film awards respectively.

Ravi Teja won best actor award for his role in the movie “Neninte” and Swathi (Colours) bagged the best actress award for “Ashta Chamma.”

Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi (Krish) won the best director award for the movie “Gamyam.”

A committee comprising of 14 members headed by Tammareddy Bharadwaja has adjudicated the awards . Awards have been announced for 65 categories. The final list has been handed over the chief Minister Rosaiah today.

Nandi Awards for the year 2008 will be presented in the first week of December.

• Best Actor – Ravi Teja (Neninthe)
• Best Actress – Swathi (Ashta Chamma)
• Best Villain – Sonu Sood (Arundati)
• Best Supporting Actor – Allari Naresh (Gamyam)
• Best Supporting Actress – Raksha (Nachavule)
• Best Director – Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi (Gamyam)
• Best Dialogue Writer – Poori Jagannadh (Neninthe)
• Best Cinematographer – Chota K Naidu
• Best Art Director – Ashok (Arundati)
• Best Make up – Ramesh Mahato (Arundati)
• Best Editor – Marthand K Venkatesh
• Special Jury Award – Anushka (Arundati)
• Special Jury Award – Allu Arjun (Parugu)
• Best Singer (Female) – Geetha Madhuri (Nachavule)
• Best Female Dubbing Artist – Haritha (Nachavule)
• Best Music Director – Mickey J Mayer (Kotha Bangaru Lokam)
